Details: Wailoa Center and the Hawaii Island Art Alliance are inviting woodworkers on the Big Island to submit their woodwork for the 10th annual Big Island Woodworkers Invitational. BIG ISLAND UKULELE GUILD ANNUAL EXHIBIT

Where: Wailoa Arts and Cultural Center, 200 Piopio St., Hilo

Details: The formal opening will feature live music, pupu and a drawing for a free ukulele. This exhibit, which featured more than 50 handmade instruments last year, also will feature other invitational pieces from woodworkers around the island, including furniture, sculpture and turned bowls.
